Recreation Assistant (Sports/Indoor/Outdoor)

We are seeking a dynamic Recreation Assistant to lead our outdoor activity programs at the beautiful Ft. Tuthill Off-Base Recreation Area in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Key Responsibilities Lead Outdoor Adventures: Conduct comprehensive programs of outdoor activities, including multi-day white water rafting trips, kayaking, backpacking, day hikes, bus tours, and on-site special events. Trip Leadership & Transportation: Serve as the primary trip leader. Safely operate a 12-15 passenger vehicle to transport patrons, and drive a rig truck to transport equipment to and from program locations. Ensure Safety & Accountability: Maintain strict control of whereabouts and ensure the absolute safety of assigned patrons during all events, programs, and activities. Administrative Duties: Prepare after-action reports, send upcoming program information to customers, compile customer critiques and comment cards, and maintain accurate program records. Customer Engagement: Assist patrons in selecting activities and help further their interests in outdoor recreation. Note: This position is subject to an irregular tour of duty.
