Recreation Fee Technician (Seasonal)
You will serve as a Recreation Fee Technician (Seasonal) for Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Recreation Fee Technicians collect and account for fees at various locations interacting with visitors and sharing information. Serve as front-line representative to answer questions and offer guidance to guests. You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.
Recreation Fee Technician Standard Duties: Technical Competency in using a point of sales machine (RBMS machines) for fee collection, remittance, and soliving RBMS and deposit errors. Customer Service skills working with clients and customers to assess their needs and provide appropriate services Manages Resources in selecting, aquirng, and storing passes, materials, and equipment to complete duties as a recreation fee technician Interpersonal Skills to show understanding, friendliness, courtesy, tact, empathy, concern, and politeness to others; develops and maintains effective relationships with others. Use of Technology Application in using machines, tools, or equipment effectively; uses computers and computer applications to analyze and communicate information in the appropriate format.
Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship. Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment. You are required to wear a uniform and comply with the uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided. You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and/or shift work. You may be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties. Prior to your first official motor vehicle operation, and again every year thereafter (or more frequently if management determines such need exists), you will be required to sign an affidavit certifying to your possession of a valid State issued driver's license that is current and has not been revoked, suspended, canceled, or otherwise disqualified in any way to prohibit your operation of a motor vehicle. You will also submit a photocopy of their valid State issued driver's license prior to your first official motor vehicle operation, and again every year, or more frequently if management determines such need exists. Lastly, selectee may be required to submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that discloses all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by selectee.
