Recreational Therapist (Part Time) - PACE

Schedule: 24 hours/week - Working Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday on day shift

The Recreational Therapist provides a variety of therapeutic social, recreational and diversional events for participants. Conducts individual assessment to identify the participants' individual interests/needs. Develops and implements an appropriate variety of individual and group activities. Participates in interdisciplinary care planning. Coordinates the recreation documentation for her/his assigned group of participants. Assists with training and supervising assigned volunteers and/or youth job program assistants/student interns and their activities. Leads facility-wide participant-centered events.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Therapy.
  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: Washington Recreational Therapist Registration
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) from National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years providing recreation with the elderly or disabled.
