We are currently seeking a People Operations Generalist to join our team.

Reporting to the People Operations Director, performs routine tasks required in support of People Operations programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; performance management and occupational health and safety.

  • The People Operations Generalist will assist in the administration of People Operations policies and procedures.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the People Operations Director.
  • Attends and/or participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as determined and under the guidance of the People Operations Director.
  • Assist in the creation of new employee job descriptions and maintain current job descriptions
  • Communicates with employees regarding their needs for leave and/or modified work schedules.
  • Ensures that employees are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave.
  • Conducts new hire orientations and assist with onboarding processes along with the People Operations Generalist-Talent Acquisition
  • Entering data into HRIS and auditing for accuracy and compliance
  • Works on special projects including policy communication, rewards and recognition, metrics tracking, engagement survey support, and planning employee activities.
  • Prepare required reports as well as special reports as requested
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field is required.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • Experience with benefits administration
  • Experience in leave administration (FMLA, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability).
  • Experience and/or exposure in Worker's Compensation process
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • High level of adaptability and comfort adjusting priorities
  • Experience or exposure to applicant tracking systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), familiar with HRIS systems or ADP/WorkforceNow.
