Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three (3) years of experience in recruitment, admissions, student services, customer service, sales, outreach, or a related field.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems, databases, and Microsoft Office 365 preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear and handle or feel objects and controls.
  • Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be capable of sitting in stationary position for 50% or more of time.

Job Specification

This position is responsible for assisting in the implementation of all recruiting activities, maintaining the database using a variety of software and systems, provide assistance with recruiting events and promote the College through presentations and tours.

Job Duties and Other Information

  • Assist in implementing data-informed recruitment and enrollment strategies aligned with the College’s Strategic Enrollment Management Plan.
  • Monitor assigned prospective students throughout the enrollment funnel and support efforts to improve inquiry-to-application and application-to-enrollment conversion.
  • Manage assigned recruitment territories, schools, populations, and outreach activities based on established recruitment goals and expectations.
  • Use the College’s CRM and other enrollment technology to document student engagement, manage follow-up, support targeted communications, and track students through the enrollment process.
  • Provide hands-on enrollment assistance, including support with the BPCC application, FAFSA, account setup, required enrollment steps, and basic course scheduling when appropriate.
  • Recruit traditional students, Dual Enrollment students, adult learners, workforce students, military-affiliated students, and other priority populations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors, teachers, administrators, businesses, community organizations, and other partners.
  • Conduct high school visits, classroom presentations, college fairs, career events, community outreach, campus visits, and tours.
  • Assist with open houses, preview events, orientation activities, and other recruitment and enrollment initiatives.
  • Work closely with Dual Enrollment staff to support the transition of graduating Dual Enrollment students to first-time freshman enrollment at BPCC.
  • Use academic programs, career pathways, workforce, and regional employment information to help prospective students connect BPCC programs with their educational and career goals.
  • Coordinate with Admissions, Financial Aid, Advising, Academic Affairs, Marketing, and other College offices to address barriers that may delay or prevent enrollment.
  • Maintain accurate prospective student records and recruitment activity data and provide information needed to evaluate recruitment outcomes and effectiveness.
  • Represent the College professionally at school, community, professional, and other recruitment events.
  • Travel throughout the College service area and other assigned locations; occasional evening and weekend work is required.
  • Assist Enrollment Management leadership with special projects and initiatives related to recruitment, enrollment, and student success.
