Recruiter (Healthcare)
Description
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, results-driven Healthcare Recruiter with proven, hands-on experience recruiting within the US Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) industry.
The successful candidate must have a demonstrated track record of successfully sourcing and hiring Behavior Technicians, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) for the US market.
This role is suited to an independent recruiter who knows how to build a candidate pipeline, engage qualified talent, maintain consistent follow-ups, and move candidates efficiently through the recruitment process. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of hiring outcomes rather than simply completing daily recruitment tasks.
Proven ABA recruitment success is essential. Candidates who can demonstrate strong hiring results will be prioritised over those with more years of experience but limited results.
The candidate will start on a part-time basis for the first 3 weeks, working 4 hours per day during EST hours. After the initial 3-week period, they’ll transition into a full-time role if successful.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Independently source and recruit Behavior Technicians, RBTs, and BCBAs within the US market.
- Use Indeed as the primary recruitment platform to identify and engage qualified candidates.
- Explore alternative sourcing channels, including LinkedIn, relevant job boards, professional networks, and university outreach.
- Proactively screen applicants, conduct initial assessments, and identify candidates who meet the role requirements.
- Maintain consistent, timely follow-ups with candidates to minimise drop-offs and keep the recruitment pipeline moving.
- Manage candidates throughout the recruitment process, from initial outreach and screening through to interviews, offers, and placement.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified ABA professionals for current and future hiring needs.
- Monitor recruitment progress, identify sourcing challenges, and adjust strategies to improve hiring outcomes.
- Communicate promptly with candidates and relevant stakeholders, ensuring a responsive and professional candidate experience.
- Track recruitment performance, with an emphasis on qualified candidates, successful placements, and time-to-fill.
Minimum Requirements
- Mandatory: Hands-on experience recruiting for the US ABA industry.
- Demonstrated success hiring Behavior Technicians, RBTs, and BCBAs.
- Strong understanding of the US ABA recruitment market and the challenges of sourcing qualified clinical and behavioral support professionals.
- Proven ability to source, screen, engage, and progress candidates independently.
- Strong working knowledge of Indeed and experience using additional recruitment platforms and sourcing methods.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt sourcing strategies when results are limited.
- A proactive, persistent, and target-driven approach to recruitment.
- Ability to demonstrate previous recruitment results, including hiring volumes, successful placements, or improvements in recruitment performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional experience within the ABA industry, behavioral health, healthcare recruitment, or clinical staffing.
- Experience recruiting for ABA providers, clinics, or in-home therapy services.
- Experience with university outreach, referral programmes, and alternative candidate sourcing strategies.
- Familiarity with US hiring processes and the qualifications required for RBTs and BCBAs.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a recruiter who:
- Takes initiative and actively hunts for candidates rather than waiting for applications.
- Responds quickly to applicants and hiring stakeholders.
- Follows up persistently and professionally until candidates progress or are appropriately closed out.
- Is resourceful and willing to test new sourcing methods when traditional channels are not delivering.
- Works with minimal supervision and requires little day-to-day direction.
- Understands that recruitment success is measured by quality hires and placements, not simply the number of messages sent or applications reviewed.
- Can clearly demonstrate what they have achieved in previous ABA recruitment roles.
A passive, task-oriented approach to recruitment will not be suitable for this position.
Performance Expectations
Success in this role will be measured by:
The number and quality of successful ABA placements.
The ability to consistently generate qualified RBT, Behavior Technician, and BCBA candidates.
Candidate responsiveness, engagement, and progression through the hiring funnel.
Effective follow-up and reduced candidate drop-off.
Ability to meet agreed hiring targets and timelines.
Independence, initiative, and adaptability in sourcing.
