The Role
As a Skilled Trades Recruiter, you will play a key role in helping Cimarron attract and hire the skilled talent that drives our success. This position focuses on building local talent pipelines, developing community relationships, and creating proactive recruiting strategies that ensure we have access to top manufacturing talent before hiring needs arise.
More than a traditional recruiter, you'll serve as a talent ambassador in the Oklahoma manufacturing community, building partnerships with trade schools, workforce development organizations, veteran groups, and technical programs while engaging welders, assemblers, machinists, technicians, painters, and other skilled trades professionals. The ideal candidate is relationship driven, enjoys being out in the community, and is passionate about connecting great people with meaningful career opportunities.
***Must have experience recruiting for Structural & Code Welders***
Key Responsibilities
Talent Pipeline Development
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for key manufacturing and skilled trades positions, including Welders, Assemblers, Fabricators, Production Technicians, Painters, and Quality personnel.
- Develop long term recruiting strategies to ensure a continuous flow of qualified manufacturing candidates.
- Create and maintain talent communities for future hiring needs.
- Conduct ongoing market research to identify emerging talent sources and workforce trends.
Community & Relationship Building
- Establish and maintain relationships with local trade schools, technical colleges, workforce development organizations, and apprenticeship programs.
- Attend hiring events, career fairs, industry association meetings, and community networking events.
- Build partnerships with veteran organizations, military transition programs, and skilled trade associations.
- Create and execute outreach strategies that strengthen Cimarron's employment brand.
Recruiting & Candidate Engagement
- Source, screen, interview, and assess manufacturing and skilled trade candidates.
- Conduct regular outreach to passive candidates and maintain relationships with prospective talent.
- Coordinate interviews and manage candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
Workforce Strategy
- Provide recruiting metrics, pipeline reporting, and labor market insights.
- Recommend innovative sourcing and recruiting approaches to improve hiring outcomes.
- Support workforce planning initiatives and succession planning efforts.
