Recruiting & HR Operations Manager
Description
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on, resourceful Recruiting & HR Operations Manager to help us attract, hire, and support exceptional talent as we grow. This role will primarily focus on full-cycle recruiting, partnering closely with hiring managers and leadership to understand business needs, build talent pipelines, and deliver an efficient, high-quality candidate experience.
While recruiting will be the priority, this role will support onboarding, employee lifecycle administration, and day-to-day HR operations for our Swiss-based team when time allows. Reporting to the Fractional HR leader based in the US, you will help build scalable, consistent people practices while providing responsive support to employees and managers.
This is an individual contributor role for someone who enjoys quick execution to make an impact, owning the details, building relationships, and balancing multiple priorities in a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
Manage full-cycle recruiting for positions across the organization, from intake meetings and sourcing through interviews, offers, and closing candidates.
Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, develop recruiting strategies, and establish clear selection criteria.
Source candidates through LinkedIn, professional networks, referrals, and other creative channels.
Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.
Coordinate interview processes, ensuring timely communication, structured evaluations, and a positive candidate experience.
Manage offer processes, including compensation coordination, offer approvals, and preparation of employment contracts in partnership with HR and leadership.
Track recruiting metrics, pipeline health, time-to-fill, and other key indicators to identify opportunities to improve hiring effectiveness.
Maintain accurate applicant tracking system records and recruiting documentation.
Support the development of consistent recruiting practices across locations while accounting for local market expectations.
HR Operations
Coordinate preboarding and onboarding activities, including background checks, system entry, equipment, relocation coordination, and orientation.
Partner with hiring managers and cross-functional teams to ensure new employees have a smooth, engaging start.
Support new-hire check-ins and identify opportunities to improve the onboarding experience.
Support employee lifecycle processes, including new hires, employment changes, internal transfers, and departures.
Assist with HR reporting, audits, and other operational projects as needed.
Coordinate with external payroll providers, benefits partners, and local HR or employment advisors as needed.
Support compliance with applicable Swiss employment requirements and internal policies in partnership with the Fractional HR leader and relevant local experts.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with the Fractional HR leader to prioritize recruiting and people initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Build trusted relationships with employees, hiring managers, and cross-functional partners.
Handle confidential employee and candidate information with discretion and sound judgment.
Contribute to the development of consistent, scalable HR processes in a growing organization while recognizing the need for locally appropriate practices.
Desired Skills and Experience
4+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, talent acquisition, and/or HR operations, ideally in a growing technology, energy, engineering, or other technical organization.
Demonstrated success managing multiple open requisitions and delivering a strong candidate experience.
Experience recruiting for technical, commercial, operational, or corporate roles; experience in engineering or energy-related hiring is a plus.
Familiarity with Swiss employment practices and HR administration, or experience supporting employees in Switzerland.
Fluency in English; professional proficiency in French is strongly preferred given the location in Nyon and the potential need to support local employees and external partners.
Experience with applicant tracking systems (Ashby preferred), HRIS platforms (HiBob), and standard productivity tools.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
