The Recruiting Specialist supports the full-cycle recruiting process by coordinating candidate sourcing, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and facilitating pre-employment assessments and background checks. This role assists with job postings, launching offer letters, and onboarding new hires, while providing timely feedback to candidates not selected. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering a positive experience for both candidates and hiring teams.
- Coordinates and assists with attracting and referring candidates for open positions through recruiting websites, employee referrals, on-site recruiting events, and other sourcing methods.
- Screens resumes and applications, and coordinates interviews between candidates and hiring teams.
- Facilitates pre-employment assessments, background checks, and drug screening processes, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
- Manages vendor invoices related to tracking, verification, and processing for payment.
- Provides professional feedback to candidates not selected for positions.
- Creating job advertisements and posting them on internal and external channels.
- Launches offer letters and coordinates new hire onboarding activities.
- Prepares, processes, and maintains all required new hire paperwork, ensuring compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
- Assists with termination paperwork, including collection of required forms, coordination with payroll/benefits/IT/HR, and proper documentation.
- Coordinates and facilitates new hire orientations, ensuring a smooth and positive introduction to the organization.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Tracks recruiting metrics and identifies opportunities to improve the candidate experience.
- Partners with hiring managers to understand role requirements and provide recruiting support.
- Coordinates and participates in college career fairs, builds relationships with campus career centers, and represents the company at hiring events to support talent pipeline development.
- Coordinates temp agency agreements and staffing needs, ensuring timely placement, contract compliance, and effective communication with agency representatives.
- Assists with key job searches, providing targeted sourcing support for hard-to-fill or high-priority positions.
- Supports expense management related to recruitment activities, including tracking spending and ensuring adherence to budget guidelines.
- Contributes to recruitment strategies and develops creative ideas to attract top talent, including new sourcing methods, marketing approaches, and process improvements.
- Creates, develops, and implements an internship program, including outreach to schools, coordination of internships, and ongoing program evaluation.
- Performs other duties as requested.
