Reference Data Associate

As a Reference Data Associate in Digital Document Services, you will be responsible for reviewing legal documentation and capturing key economic and non-economic parameters from agreements into firm systems at JPMorganChase. You will manage business metrics, drive strategic projects, and build a culture of continuous improvement across back office, middle office, and global teams. You will partner with operations and technology teams to redesign processes and strengthen controls.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review legal documentation and extract key economic and non-economic parameters for accurate system capture.
  • Identify issues proactively and coordinate with internal functions (client service professionals, legal, and related teams) to resolve disputed points within agreed timeframes.
  • Embed process controls to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Resolve day-to-day issues in a time-bound manner and provide regular updates to senior management on business as usual activities and projects.
  • Produce reports and scorecards, present them in operational forums, and support capacity and contingency planning.
  • Monitor workflow and support team leaders to distribute work equitably.
  • Manage internal service level agreements and communicate performance to stakeholders through effective reporting.
  • Work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs.

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Hold an MBA in finance with 8+ years of operations experience.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, and Project.
  • Apply knowledge of a global bank’s processes and operating environment, including management and external reporting.
  • Demonstrate business knowledge of investment banking processes and systems.
  • Lead a team of high achievers with diverse experience and skill sets using a strategic approach.
  • Practice inclusive leadership by identifying talent, recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to support strategic goals.
  • Execute projects and initiatives alongside daily delivery, with strong attention to detail and appropriate deep-dive problem solving.

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Earn a graduate or post-graduate degree with 8+ years of operations experience.
  • Thrive in a dynamic environment while managing teams effectively.
