Your New Role

• Work from an office location in Rancho Cucamonga, California, while performing field service for customer locations.

• Respond to service calls and complete diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on industrial refrigeration systems.

• Perform hot and cold compressor and motor alignments.

• Service and repair reciprocating, scroll, rotary, and screw compressors.

• Complete compressor rebuilds and shaft seal replacements.

• Troubleshoot refrigeration systems using electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic testing equipment.

• Install expansion valves, control valves, and related refrigeration components.

• Use oxy acetylene equipment when repairing and installing refrigeration equipment.

• Install electrical wiring and connections for refrigeration equipment and control systems.

• Test refrigeration lines, connections, and components for leaks.

• Complete startup and commissioning work on ammonia and synthetic refrigeration systems.

• Diagnose computerized refrigeration controls, PLCs, microprocessors, and control panels.

• Provide professional service while developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.

• Gather project details and assist with customer proposals.

• Accurately complete work orders, timecards, and required documentation on schedule using SimPRO.

• Keep truck inventory organized and equipment ready for field service.

• Generate purchase orders for truck stock and materials needed for jobs.

• Follow EPA regulations and maintain required certifications.

• Perform work independently while coordinating with customers, vendors, and team members.

• Participate in overtime, on call rotations, and flexible scheduling based on customer needs.

• Trade school education or equivalent hands on experience in refrigeration, HVACR, mechanical systems, or a related field.

• At least 2 years of hands on industrial refrigeration or heavy commercial refrigeration experience.

• EPA 608 Certification required.

• Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred but not required.

• RETA CARO Certification preferred but not required.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Experience servicing industrial refrigeration systems and compressors.

• Knowledge of industrial or heavy commercial refrigeration systems, synthetic refrigerants, refrigeration controls, PLCs, and microprocessors preferred.

• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration equipment.

• Experience performing compressor maintenance, rebuilds, and alignments.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision.

• Willingness to work overtime and participate in on call schedules.

• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and represent TDI Refrigeration positively.

• Strong organizational, time management, and problem solving skills.

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to perform field work around industrial equipment, noise, and varying environmental conditions.
