Scope of Work:
As a Waukesha-Pearce Industries (WPI) Regional Business Manager (RBM), you are responsible for monitoring your assigned CMD branch(s) daily operations. The service and parts managers along with related administrative sales and support roles at the assigned branches will report directly to this position. Daily branch responsibilities include but are not limited to managing the operations of assigned salesmen, parts and related processes, and the service department operations including work in process, talent acquisition and overall territory growth. Compliance with and enforcement of all company policies and safety regulations is a must. The RBM will work directly with various departments to ensure a high level of customer support while executing on all tasks efficiently with the objective of producing optimum efficiency and profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
The CMD RBM is responsible and accountable for, but not limited to, the following:
- Manages and coordinates daily branch operations by working closely with branch subordinates and divisional management to assure company personnel practices and policies are followed.
- Monitors all branch operations by periodic checks of WPI and vendor invoices, petty cash, timecards, no-charge billings, price sheet dates, inventory controls, work in process, housekeeping and any other management activities needed to measure the effectiveness of the branch operations.
- Analyzes monthly receivable accounts and organizes and directs an effective collections system.
- Analyze P&L and financial statements to determine risks and identify opportunities for improvement with specific measurable action plans.
- Work closely with division management and the corporate office on matters relating to sales, problems involving credit, accounting, service and or parts.
- Establishes monthly meeting dates whereby all subordinates participate in a constructive analysis of the monthly statement of earnings.
- Ensures that established systems and CMD Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) for monitoring individual departmental productivity and personnel utilization are followed.
- Promote good relations through periodic vendor and customer on-site visits.
- Support non-OEM sales strategies and related parts & service department growth initiatives.
- Assists GM of Operations in the development of gross profit and departmental expense goals on a monthly basis.
- Travel to branch locations on an ongoing basis to support operational excellence.
