Regional (Associate) Product Manager
Summary
Regional Associate Product Manager in Tokyo defines and executes Japan’s energy analytics software strategy, prioritizes features, and leads a cross-functional team to deliver solutions for global clients.
- You will play a key role in defining the vision and strategy for our software platform in Japan.
- You will build and maintain the regional roadmap for all Japan software products making key decisions on feature prioritisation, in line with product vision and strategy.
- You will own and manage a structured backlog of user needs and feature ideas.
- You will define requirements for UI and modelling features of our Japan software, and you will work with local and central technical teams to design solutions meeting these requirements.
- You will play a leading role in a cross-functional team of highly skilled software engineers, product managers, modellers, research and advisory analysts, commercial and customer success representatives in continuous product delivery.
- You will develop and manage client relationships, develop in-depth understanding of client requirements, and manage user feedback.
- You will build and manage the Japan software product team and build relationships with software stakeholders across our offices in APAC and Oxford, fostering a positive working culture and providing mentorship and development opportunities for the team.
- Fluent in Japanese (written and spoken).
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience at a major consultancy, energy company, software company, financial services company, or other knowledge-focused firm or institution. Prior experience in the energy or software sectors is particularly valuable.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large complex projects or products that require significant cross-functional coordination.
- Strong process management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple teams, priorities, and dependencies.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills (including quantitative analysis), and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of energy markets.
- Results-driven, with a high degree of persistence in reaching goals and a hands-on approach to ensuring targets are achieved.
- Good understanding of power market models, and the life cycle and commercial arrangements of energy projects.
- Track record of building stakeholder relationships across functions and countries and leading successful teams.
