Scope of role:
The Business Management Community’s performance is critical to our market perception and business health. This community is tasked with creating a recognized market-leading position in communications planning, strategic approach implementational & executional management and client servicing.
In this role of Regional Business Director, you will be leading the Center of Excellence hub for one of our key regional clients. It is a consulting unit for regional clients as well as a position of influence and governance to local markets on strategy, digital transformation and senior client stewardship. Campaign strategy and implementation happens at a local market level.
In this position, you will also be part of the senior leadership unit of OMD Singapore and may be required to take on an additional responsibility of another regional/global client.
1. Regional Account Leadership
- Accountable for strategic account leadership & responsible for all aspects of business management.
- Need to lead engagement with senior-level local, regional and global clients agency network stakeholders (i.e. CEOs, CSO, COO, MDs, GMs…) and marketing partners.
- Articulate explanation to the senior client stakeholders and to link business objectives back to consumer outtakes and media and marketing outputs.
- Ability to influence markets to deliver the right process & insights by enabling productive collaboration and going deeper into understanding trends and cultural nuances.
- Enable strategies to land in APAC markets by supporting and guiding the local market teams.
- Ensure local and regional profitability targets are met both from an organic and OOS stand-point.
- You will have an Associate Director as direct report (and a planner reporting to the Associate Director). You will also have an ad-ops team and will get support from a Strategy Director/Manager on demand
2. Innovation and Digital Transformation
- Work closely with APAC digital, programmatic, data & tech teams as well as regional marketing partners to enable in-market digital acceleration programs and follow through the progress.
- Drive thought leadership pieces on an ongoing basis to support all markets in the region, focusing on driving their client’s business growth and increase agency leadership.
- Be relentless to propose APAC first innovative solutions that drive client’s growth and ROI, in pursuit of award-worthy work.
Experience required:
- Tertiary qualified, supplemented by 10+ years of strong media planning experience.
- Experience managing one or more large accounts ($30M+ billings).
- Experience on CPG clients is a strong advantage.
- Experience managing a team.
- Experience across a range of media/marketing functions is an added advantage.
- Experience simplifying complex solutions for senior stakeholders and orchestrating solutions beyond immediate competency.
