Regional Business Manager ( Oncology )

Description

Business & Sales Management

  • Drive primary and secondary sales achievement as per budget and business objectives.
  • Develop monthly and weekly sales plans for assigned territories.
  • Allocate targets based on market potential and monitor execution.
  • Track business performance and implement corrective actions wherever required.
  • Analyze ROI of promotional activities, sponsorships, and commercial investments.
  • Review secondary sales movement to minimize expiries, returns, and slow-moving inventory.

Customer & Account Management

  • Develop and execute account plans for key hospitals, corporate accounts, and KOLs.
  • Strengthen relationships with doctors, purchase departments, biomedical teams, pharmacies, distributors, stockists, and chemists.
  • Identify growth opportunities and improve customer engagement across assigned accounts.
  • Ensure optimum market coverage and execution of territory plans.

People Management

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of 4–5 Key Account Managers.
  • Drive performance management through regular field coaching and review meetings.
  • Hire, retain, and engage high-performing talent.
  • Conduct onboarding and refresher training for team members.
  • Manage vacant territories and ensure uninterrupted business operations.

Business Planning & Analytics

  • Monitor weekly and monthly sales performance against targets.
  • Utilize sales automation tools and data analytics for business planning.
  • Identify market trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities.
  • Ensure effective reporting and compliance with organizational processes.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or equivalent.
  • MBA preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience as a People Manager in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in Oncology sales is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in managing hospital business and leading diverse sales teams.
  • Strong exposure to key account management and institutional business.
  • Experience in driving sales performance through field coaching and team development.
