Regional Business Sales Manager (Industrial Automation)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide the sales team in driving business growth and market penetration for industrial automation products, solutions, and services across assigned industries and territories.
- Collaborate closely with global and regional principals to secure both commercial and technical support, ensuring successful project execution and customer engagement.
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives tailored to specific market segments to strengthen market presence and accelerate business growth.
- Drive proactive opportunity generation activities through customer engagement, market development initiatives, and strategic account penetration.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline information, customer activities, and business opportunities within CRM and sales management systems while providing regular updates to management.
- Manage sales forecasting and business planning activities for the assigned territory to ensure achievement of revenue and growth targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies, providing timely market intelligence and customer insights to product management teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers through effective key account management practices.
- Foster close collaboration with internal sales, technical, and application teams to identify opportunities, address customer requirements, and deliver integrated solutions that create value for customers.
- Support the development of long-term customer partnerships by delivering high levels of responsiveness, technical understanding, and commercial excellence.
Requirements
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Sales, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, business development, or application engineering within the electrical engineering or industrial solutions sector.
- Prior experience in industrial automation solutions, motion control, drives, PLCs, robotics, or related automation technologies will be highly advantageous.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven capabilities in influencing stakeholders, negotiating complex opportunities, and closing business deals.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and solution-selling skills with the ability to understand customer challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong interpersonal, networking, and communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across customers, principals, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, matrix organization while contributing effectively within a culture of shared accountability and teamwork.
