Every Family Deserves Support.

At Star of Hope Family Services, our Right from the Start (RFTS) Supervisor provides leadership and support to Right from the Start Coordinators across West Virginia while helping ensure Medicaid-eligible pregnant women and infants receive the care, resources, and services they need.

In this role, you'll combine leadership, care coordination, advocacy, and community collaboration to help improve outcomes for mothers, infants, and families. When a RFTS Coordinator is unavailable, you'll step in to provide direct care coordination and help ensure continuity of services.

If you're looking for a career where your leadership can strengthen a statewide program and your work can directly impact families throughout West Virginia, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As the Right from the Start Supervisor, you'll provide statewide leadership and support by:

  • Overseeing and supporting Right from the Start Coordinators
  • Providing and documenting monthly supervision with assigned employees
  • Coordinating health, educational, psychosocial, and nutritional services for Medicaid-eligible pregnant women and infants when needed
  • Assessing client needs and identifying barriers to healthy outcomes
  • Developing individualized service plans with clients
  • Conducting home visits and client contacts according to program requirements
  • Coordinating care with medical providers, community agencies, and other case management programs
  • Connecting families with prenatal, pediatric, postpartum, WIC, nutritional, and family-planning services
  • Advocating for families experiencing needs related to food, shelter, safety, transportation, child care, and other essential resources
  • Providing support and intervention during crisis or safety concerns
  • Participating in interdisciplinary and interagency service-planning meetings
  • Maintaining accurate client records, documentation, and required reports
  • Monitoring referrals and following up to help ensure clients receive needed services
  • Completing required monthly billing documentation
  • Building strong relationships with healthcare providers and community partners throughout West Virginia

No two families have exactly the same needs—and every day provides an opportunity to connect someone with resources that can make a lasting difference.
