Regional Collections Manager, North Central
About the Role
Sun King is seeking a passionate, diligent Regional Collections Manager to join its Risk department driving efforts and processes related to PAYG product collections in the field, advising on improving customer payments and satisfaction while ensuring the company offer matches end-user expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse regional portfolio and repayment trends; develop strategies to improve collection rates
- Conduct mystery market visits to assess sales quality and gather regional insights
- Provide weekly updates to the zonal credit analyst on interventions and results
- Design, pilot, and operationalize collection processes
- Work with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives on product repossession
- Report cases of product tampering through established Risk team processes
- Facilitate reporting and action against fraudulent field practices
- Train Field Sales Executives on repossessions and difficult collections
- Follow up with Agents to ensure timely completion of collection tasks
- Recruit cash collection centres in key collection areas
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree/Higher Diploma in Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management, or related field
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar position with field experience and rural customer engagement
- Strong experience in Microfinance/Fintech or banking (Credit Collections/debt recovery preferred)
- Good logical, communication, and people skills
- Fluency in English and the language of the assigned territory
- Clear thinking and problem-solving ability
- Excellent issue-tracking and resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with the territory
