Aquatech has an immediate opening for a full-time Regional Controller, to join our team. This person will work out of our Albany Or office location. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.
The Controller is responsible for an organization's overall financial health and day-to-day financial operations. Position requires Controller to be on-site for at least three (3) days/week. Candidate must have strong cost accounting experience and familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements, following GAAP standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage costing for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budgeted/forecasted financial outcomes, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational efficiency and cost controls in the manufacturing process.
- Identify and communicate financial trends, metrics, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage all aspects of the organization’s accounting processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Responsible for all A/R, A/P, banking, purchasing transactions
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with overall organization policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain internal control systems to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, (CPA/MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in a financial management or controller role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial analysis, and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
