Ducks Unlimited has an opening for a Full-TimeRegional Director of Event Fundraising for Western North Carolina. This positionwill be responsible for the management of all facets of event fundraising within the region. This is a remote position, and the preferred candidate will live in the Charlotte, North Carolina metropolitan area. As a remote employee, you may be required to come in at any time, with reasonable notice, into a DU office (or other designated location) for meetings and other business needs.
Responsibilities:Regional Directors’ duties and responsibilities encompass the management of all facets of event fundraising within the region including:
- Recruitment and training of volunteers
- Managing volunteer efforts in support of Ducks Unlimited fundraising events
- Fostering growth within the region with emphasis on new chapter development; internal growth within existing committees; identification and development of non-traditional fundraising opportunities and major donor identification and management
- Coordination and collaboration with the Florida fundraising team and volunteers
Qualifications:
- BA or BS from an accredited institution is required. Volunteer experience with non-profit organizations will benefit candidates and volunteer experience with Ducks Unlimited is desired.
- This position requires an aptitude for building and managing relationships with a diverse group of volunteers with an emphasis on effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Candidates must be able to work with proficiency on a personal computer with basic skills in MS Office applications and have a working familiarity with the Internet. The successful candidate will be required to develop computer skills specific to Ducks Unlimited Inc.’s standardized information systems.

- Candidates must be willing to work hours that extend well outside of the typical workday and workweek throughout the year, including extensive auto travel throughout the region.
Benefits/Pay:Salary will be based on experience and education.
