- Provide advanced respiratory care modalities, including the evaluation and care of patients experiencing respiratory insufficiencies.
- Assess patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop comprehensive, individualized plans of care based on the diagnosis.
- Implement and continuously monitor the patient care plan and associated equipment, meticulously recording and communicating changes in the patient's condition.
- Evaluate respiratory practices, the administration of medications, and treatments based on patient outcomes to ensure effectiveness.
- Respond to all emergency resuscitation team calls.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
