We have an opening for the position of Regional General Manager, Sales, Regional Office, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Please find brief Job Description below:-

Responsibilities:-

Responsible for leading, managing and steering the regional sales volume, contribution margin, sales operation within a team of Regional Sales Managers, Sales operation & product manager. Close collaboration & partnering with dealer marketing, Sales channel development & PR to support regional sales and build the RRMC brand through our appointed dealer network.

This is a centrally based role and duties include but are not limited to forecasting for sales and wholesales as well as strategic development of Retail and Wholesale programs to assist in the selling of Rolls-Royce’s and achieving retail targets. In addition, the position includes establishing and improving the existing Dealer Network with the support of Dealer Development. The role does require regular travel to markets.

Requires close collaboration and operation with Headquarter colleagues and manage international team members and dealer network. Main lead for RRMC Japan subsidiary office.

Functional Scopes:-

Responsible for key BSC & Financial targets: Sales target (New & Used cars), Cost of Retail, contribution margin, various financial & business operation targets. Manages the forecasting for execution of successful sales and production planning with the aim of achieving sales targets as well as financial targets. Steers all sales reporting & operation budget to achieve BSC Sales & Financial KPI.

Manage regional sales orders, retail target and sales support across all region steering through regional sales team and headquarter. Develop, implement and steer sales initiatives and bonus programmes for sub- regions to ensure that sales targets are achieved. Ensure that sales programs and activities developed are suitable to respective markets and steer the introduction in our respective markets. Develop the short, medium and long term sales and wholesale programs along with tactical deployment in order to ensure that regions are achieving all targets (New Retail, Used Retail, Wholesale, Production, Prospect, test drive and conversion rate.).

Manages and steers the Japanese as Regional Sales Manager. Chair the Regional and Sales Operations meetings with first line managers. Provide advice and support to dealer marketing activities and ensure execution of marketing plans. Develop, implement and steer success monitoring and ensure targeted activities to drive sales success. Direct, motivate and develop all team members to ensure that objectives and priorities are met in an efficient manner and ensure team members reach their full potential. Chair the Regional and Sales Operations meetings with first line managers.

Collect and collate strategic volume targets from both internal and market perspective in order to build Long Range and Budget Volume Plans which optimize volume, mix and profitability. Influencer dealer marketing plans / activities through innovative concepts and ideas. Seek headquarter cooperation and influence the central marketing/product team to fulfill regional requests. Ensure market relevance and readiness of Bespoke Concepts and regional collection cars.

Educational Background/Professional Knowledge and Experience/Other Technical Skills:-

  • Master’s / Bachelor Degree in preferred (Business, Economics or Engineering)
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant work experience in Automobile industry preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of the automotive retail business and ideally the Asia-Pacific market environment.
  • Strong commercial understanding and entrepreneurial thinker
  • Must be a good communicator at all levels within the industry and be able to demonstrate leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Decisive and able to take tough decisions in the interest of the business.
  • Ability to work under extreme pressure and in remote environments.
  • Self-motivated, creative and structured problem solving ability.
  • Clear visual and written presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and communication skills
  • Requires a high level of commercial, cultural and financial awareness
  • Managing and directing efforts of the team; development of personnel through individual leadership
  • Strong automotive knowledge of retail sales processes
  • Expert knowledge of sales programs and how to leverage to stimulate business
  • Finance familiarity (dealer financial statements as well as internal accounting)
  • Distribution understanding
  • Strong knowledge marketing and PR initiatives
  • 10 years professional experience ideally within Sales or Marketing
