Overview of the role
The graphic communication specialist is responsible for conveying the uniqueness of the IKEA brand both inside and outside the store through visual content, enhancing brand recognition and setting IKEA apart from competitors. The role involves creating, designing, and executing high-quality in-store graphics, branding materials, and digital content that aligns with IKEA's brand identity and voice. This includes basic photo and video production as well as utilizing AI tools to optimize content creation. This person will work extensively with various departments to ensure brand consistency and support sales optimization and long-term growth.
What you will do
Actively support the country GC leader in implementing the business plan and communication and information plan for sales optimization and long-term growth.
Ensure the IKEA brand identity is reflected in range presentation and brand communication across all customer touchpoints, including digital channels.
Strengthen the connection between life at home and customer needs through store media and digital platforms.
Plan, create, and communicate graphic and content solutions using the IKEA concept and AI-supported workflows.
Collaborate with sales and communication colleagues and other functions to prioritize national goals and develop communication solutions for IKEA products.
Work closely with marketing and sales colleagues to ensure clear, consistent communication of business calendar messages on stores and digital channels.
Enhance the knowledge and application of effective store layouts and communication for commercial advantage.
Demonstrate strong self-leadership aligned with IKEA leadership capabilities, fostering business and people collaboration.
Support team development through training and knowledge sharing about the IKEA concept and guidelines.
Empower and support team members by sharing knowledge to improve performance and build capability.
Create an environment aligned with IKEA culture and values that values diversity and makes IKEA a great place to work.
Build future capability by mentoring colleagues and sharing expertise.
Ensure clear internal communication and information flow so all co-workers understand key information.
Required skills to be successful
Proficiency in design software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Strong ability to develop efficient business processes.
Creative thinking and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience crafting cross-channel content across various platforms including digital, social media, and print.
What qualifies you for the role
Bachelor's degree.
5+ years experience in a similar role.
Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and video editing software.
Basic photography skills using DSLR cameras.
Familiarity with AI-based design tools.
Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork capabilities.
Ability to handle a high workload effectively.
Demonstrated resourcefulness, motivation, and initiative.
