Description

As Tencarva continues to grow through acquisitions and expansion, strong leadership and effective people practices are increasingly important to the business. The Regional HR Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across a multi-state region, helping them navigate complex employee matters, strengthen leadership capabilities, and address workforce and organizational challenges while supporting the company's continued growth.

This is a highly visible, field-facing role within a geographically dispersed sales and service organization. Working closely with the HRBP Manager, you'll partner directly with business leaders across the region to provide practical HR guidance, support organizational change, and strengthen people practices while respecting the autonomy and entrepreneurial culture that have contributed to Tencarva's success. The role supports locations throughout the Carolinas, Tennessee, Virginia, and surrounding areas, with regular travel to branch locations.

Key Priorities

  • Serve as a Trusted Advisor to the Business: Build credibility and strong working relationships with business leaders and employees across a geographically dispersed organization. Understand the operational realities facing Tencarva's sales, service, and technical teams, and provide practical guidance that balances employee needs, business objectives, and sound judgment. Become a trusted partner who helps leaders navigate challenges, make informed decisions, and strengthen business performance.
  • Support Change & Operational Adoption: Partner with HR and business leaders to implement people-related improvements across the organization. Help leaders understand, communicate, and adopt new processes, tools, and expectations while providing feedback on what works in the field. Support greater consistency and effectiveness without creating unnecessary complexity or disrupting established operating practices.
  • Help the Business Scale Through Growth & Integration: Partner with business leaders on acquisitions and integration activities, helping address employee concerns, leadership transitions, retention risks, and workforce challenges. Work with the broader HR team to support a smooth transition for employees and leaders while maintaining operational accountability, respecting established cultures, and preserving the entrepreneurial mindset that has contributed to Tencarva's success.
  • Build Stronger Leaders: Coach leaders through performance challenges, complex employee relations matters, investigations, organizational changes, and difficult personnel decisions. Exercise independent judgment, take ownership of employee relations matters within the assigned region, and help managers build the confidence and capability to address issues effectively.
  • Strengthen Talent Pipelines & Workforce Readiness: Partner with business leaders and Talent Acquisition to identify critical talent gaps, anticipate workforce needs, assess internal bench strength, and support practical development and succession planning for leadership and technical roles. Support relationships with vocational and technical training organizations where they can strengthen long-term talent pipelines.
