Regional HR Manager
Our client is a French Headquartered global company, and a major supplier to the auto-ID and tag & label industries worldwide. They provide a comprehensive range of Thermal Transfer ribbons constantly updated to match current and future automatic identification applications, meeting and often exceeding market expectations.
Our client is looking to hire a Regional HR Manager to be based in Changi North Singapore.
Overall Job Scope
The HR Manager will develop, guide, manage and supervise HR policies and activities for for their perimeter (Singapore, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan). This position leads, manages and supervises HR policies and activities at regional level such as: hiring, recruitment, training, organizational development, etc., and coordinates with the safety team. The role serves as a consultant to management on HR related issues and acts as an employee advocate and change agent.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management
- Responsible for and manages the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding for all employees except Comex-1
- Supervises job postings, recruitment sources, interviews, with assistance from local/site HR
- Contributes to define and implements regional training/development programs and performance management programs
- Uses performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to teams
- Leads, facilitates and coordinates local activities, information and programs related to Human Resources under BU guidelines
- Contributes to design and implementation of Comex-1 development paths
- Conducts performance and salary reviews
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits in their perimeter
- Ensures maintenance of personnel-related data records
- Manages the yearly salary review process
- Investigates employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution, up to and including terminations procedures
- Ensures all company HR policies are applied consistently and proposes improvements
- Partners with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives
- Provides support and guidance to local HR staff and to managers on performance management
- Contributes to maintain HR systems and processes in their perimeter
- Ensures compliant and efficient local collective bargaining
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with local labor laws and regulations across all countries under scope.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Drive implementation of country-level safety action plans with local operational committees.
- Promote safety policies and employee awareness.
- Lead safety improvement initiatives and report unsafe conditions.
- Ensure consistency of safety rules, objectives, and reporting requirements.
- Represent the company to local authorities and regulatory bodies.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of regional HR and business strategy.

- Assist in implementing variable compensation policies based on business needs.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of HR management experience, ideally covering multiple countries.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
- Strong sourcing and recruitment capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage remotely across different countries and cultures.
- Experience in regional expansion projects is advantageous.
- Business-oriented approach to HR decision-making.
- Experience working in a manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
Language Requirements
- Fluent in English
- Mandarin is required (due to frequent interaction with China counterparts)
- Additional Asian language capabilities are an advantage.
