Regional IT Operations Support Executive
Salary: RM 8,000 – RM 10,000 per month
Job Responsibilities
Conduct regular health‑checks for regional business systems, monitor alerts, and perform day‑to‑day operational tasks including system deployment, version updates, and access‑rights management.
When incidents occur, collect relevant logs and information, reproduce issues where feasible, and escalate them to the respective technical teams. Assist with incident handling, but are not required to conduct in‑depth technical troubleshooting.
Collaborate with local teams and business partners to complete backend configuration, data validation, user enquiry handling and basic reporting tasks.
Carry out system‑ and business‑related operational requirements assigned by internal teams. Follow up on open items to ensure all matters are properly tracked until full closure.
Provide cross‑time‑zone operational support as needed, and respond to urgent business issues outside standard working hours.
Document hand‑over notes accurately. Sync work progress, pending tasks, operational risks, work instructions and on‑site information with relevant teams and stakeholders.
During live production incidents, verify conditions on‑site, gather information, track resolution progress, follow established emergency procedures, and complete post‑incident documentation using standard templates.
Maintain operational documents, hand‑over guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and business FAQs based on existing templates.
Support local project roll‑outs. Coordinate third‑party service providers, business partners and internal teams to ensure smooth on‑site execution.
Job Requirements
Diploma or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related disciplines.
Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in system operation & maintenance, IT support, server administration or equivalent roles.
Familiar with day‑to‑day administration of Linux and Windows servers, including basic command‑line operations, system monitoring and log analysis.
Possess basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Alibaba Cloud and HUAWEI Cloud; with hands‑on skills in database operations, server administration and computer networking.
Able to resolve common system and business‑related issues independently, and provide complete and accurate information when escalating complex technical problems.
Capable of working efficiently across multiple time zones; strong competency in shift hand‑over, progress alignment, incident documentation and post‑incident review.
Good verbal and written Mandarin for communication with Mandarin‑speaking stakeholders.
Basic English reading, writing and speaking proficiency to liaise with local teams, vendors and business partners.
Strong sense of responsibility, detail‑oriented, able to work under pressure with solid incident‑response capability.
Excellent organisational and communication skills; maintain accurate records, follow defined procedures and proactively drive issues toward resolution.
Adaptable to multi‑cultural working environments. Accept cross‑time‑zone arrangements including shift work and off‑hour on‑call support when required.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience supporting cross‑border businesses, international internet companies or regional B2B / B2C operations.
Practical experience using IT automation tools, monitoring systems, or data reporting and analytics tools.
Experience in project coordination, third‑party vendor management or cross‑regional team collaboration.
Proficient in leveraging AI tools to improve operational efficiency, document writing, report generation and problem‑solving.
