Regional Maintenance Director - Senior Living
Description
Maintenance Director | Senior Living & Memory Care
Ashley Manor | Idaho Communities (based in the Treasure Valley)
You already know a senior living building is different. Come lead a team that does too.
In senior living, maintenance is part of care. A working call system, a steady generator, a safe walkway, a comfortable room in July: residents and caregivers depend on all of it. We are looking for an experienced maintenance leader who understands that, and who wants to build and guide a strong team of technicians across our Idaho communities. You will be the go-to person for our managers and techs, setting priorities, keeping work orders moving, and making the right call when someone phones with a problem after hours.
What you will do
- Lead, coach, and develop facility technicians across our communities
- Oversee work orders and set priorities so repairs are done safely, on time, and with residents in mind
- Keep our buildings inspection-ready: life safety systems, fire and electrical, HVAC, plumbing, generators, and grounds
- Plan, budget, and track renovation and remodel projects from scope to finish
- Manage vendors and contractors and keep purchasing organized
- Teach safe work practices and the proper use of tools and equipment
- Partner with Executive Directors and leadership on operations and regulatory compliance
- Step in on hands-on repairs when it helps your team
What you bring
- 5+ years of maintenance experience with supervisory experience
- Strong general maintenance skills across building systems and tools
- Working knowledge of building codes, fire codes, and OSHA standards
- Comfort reading blueprints and drawings
- Budgeting, scheduling, and vendor negotiation skills
- A calm, decisive, solutions-first approach
- Senior living, assisted living, or healthcare facility experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and personal auto insurance
- Must be 21 or older, pass a background check, and pass pre-employment drug testing
What the work looks like
- Travel between Idaho communities, with a monthly auto allowance
- After-hours availability: you answer the phone, assess the situation, and decide the next step
- Physical work including standing, bending, climbing, ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds, indoors and out in all seasons
