Regional Manager - Broker Sales - General Insurance

Job Description:

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Corporate Sales professional to drive commercial insurance business through the Indian or MNC Broker channel in Kolkata.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage relationships with leading Indian and MNC insurance brokers in Kolkata.

- Identify new corporate business opportunities through broker relationships and market intelligence.

- Drive business acquisition, retention and portfolio growth through the broker channel.

- Drive corporate business across Fire, Marine, Engineering, GMC, GPA, Surety and other commercial insurance products.

- Understand corporate risk profiles and coordinate with brokers and underwriting teams to structure appropriate insurance solutions.

- Support quotations, coverage structures, terms, pricing, negotiations and renewal discussions.

- Work closely with Underwriting, Claims, Risk Engineering, Product, Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance and senior management.

- Achieve premium, revenue and profitability targets while maintaining a strong pipeline of new business and renewal opportunities.

Requirements:

- 6+ years of relevant experience in General Insurance.

- Currently working with a General Insurance company.

- Relevant experience in Corporate, Commercial Lines or Broker Channel.

- Strong exposure to commercial insurance products such as Fire, Marine, Engineering, GMC, GPA and/or Surety.

- Experience dealing with Indian insurance brokers and corporate clients.

- Strong understanding of insurance underwriting, quotations, policy structures, pricing and commercial negotiations.

- Proven track record of achieving business targets.

- Graduate in any discipline; insurance qualifications will be an advantage.
