Regional Manager - DMV
About the Role
HHRD is seeking a Regional Manager to lead fundraising, donor engagement, community outreach, and regional operations. Working under national fundraising strategies and in partnership with the Zonal Manager, you will build relationships across the region, grow support for HHRD’s mission, and guide staff and volunteers toward shared goals.
What You'll Do
- Develop and carry out a regional fundraising plan aligned with HHRD priorities; set goals, track progress, and adjust activities to meet annual revenue targets.
- Cultivate and steward donors through thoughtful communication, visits, events, and timely follow-up. Maintain accurate donor records in Virtuous, HHDIS, and related systems.
- Build partnerships with Islamic centers, community and professional organizations, schools, corporations, foundations, scholars, and other local stakeholders.
- Represent HHRD at khutbahs, meetings, events, and public forums; deliver appeals and explain the organization’s programs, impact, and priorities.
- Recruit, support, and develop volunteers, while providing direction, coaching, and constructive feedback to regional staff.
- Oversee regional budgets, expenses, records, and operational practices in line with HHRD policies. Support emergency and disaster response fundraising when needed.
Qualifications
- Fundraising, donor stewardship, and community partnership development.
- Strong communication and public-speaking skills, with the ability to adapt messages to different audiences.
- Team leadership, volunteer development, planning, organization, and follow-through.
- Sound judgment, problem-solving, conflict resolution, financial accountability, and professional integrity.
- Comfort with CRM and data-management tools; familiarity with Virtuous, HHDIS, and Field Ops is helpful.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA.
Work Expectations
The role involves extensive travel within the assigned region, with occasional travel beyond the region for national meetings or organizational events. Evening, weekend, holiday, and extended hours may be needed during campaigns, major events, and emergency appeals. The Regional Manager must be able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
