Regional Manager
Position Overview
The Regional Manager is responsible for the performance of multiple branches within an assigned division. The position owns service quality and consistency across locations, the development of the Operations Managers and Field Managers who report to it, safety and compliance, and the overall operational and financial results of the division.
The role combines standard setting with active field verification. The Regional Manager is expected to establish expectations centrally and confirm their execution in branches rather than managing from reports alone. The position reports to the VP of Operations and partners closely with the Technical Director, Operations Managers, and Field Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Branch Performance: Identify underperforming branches early and implement documented turnaround plans within 30 days. Address persistent patterns of missed targets rather than managing around them.
- Standards and Consistency: Ensure all branches operate under the same SOPs and service quality standards. Conduct regular audits to verify compliance and eliminate practices that compromise brand, safety, or service.
- Leadership Development: Conduct structured weekly meetings with each Operations Manager. Maintain a documented successor in development for every key role in the division. Address leadership gaps promptly.
- Field Presence: Visit branches on a regular cadence, participate in ride-alongs and quality checks, and verify service delivery firsthand.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all branches maintain current licenses, certifications, and vehicle compliance. Investigate and resolve audit findings, safety incidents, and regulatory concerns promptly.
- Performance Accountability: Own division-level results for customer retention, callback rate, route completion, safety incidents, and manager retention.
