Regional Manager - South Island
Based in Christchurch, you will lead and grow SGS’s Regulatory business across the South Island. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive performance, develop your team, and ensure operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing high-performing team of Engineer Surveyors
- Driving a culture of safety, teamwork, and customer satisfaction
- Managing day-to-day operations, including scheduling, job delivery, timesheets, and invoicing
- Owning the P&L and improving business performance and efficiency
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across the region
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience within the engineering, regulatory, or Industrial services sector
- Proven leadership experience, ideally managing technical teams
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commercial acumen, including understanding of financial performance (P&L)
- Sound knowledge of statutory, regulatory, and safety requirements
- A Mechanical Engineering degree (preferred)
- Relevant CBIP qualifications would be an advantage
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
