Regional Material Group Manager EMEA

Key responsibilities:

Drive YoY savings balanced with securing surety of supply;

Develop regional category strategy (based on Lead Buyer strategy);

Collection of input regarding material/ product cost, required specifications, supplier and market analysis;

Definition of regional strategy based on desired capacities & capabilities, incl. regionalization of Lead Buyer strategy;

Ensuring implementation of strategy, incl. tracking of agreed upon initiatives;

Prepare demand control and forecast;

Collaborate with business functions on product specifications and project mgmt;

Select suppliers and negotiate contracts (under consideration of TCO and target costs aspects, delivery time), driving RfQ processes and supplier steering;

Proactively engage in supplier lifecycle management, esp. development;

Regionally support in customer relationship management w/ key strategic vendors.

Requirements:

Multi year expertise in sourcing and supplier management;

Profound commercial and technical knowledge of respective category strategy, incl. supplier landscapes, function-specific needs, key market development and supplier price/ cost-structure;

High degree of independence and strong analytical capabilities to design/ implement strategic initiatives and steer procurement performance;

Good interpersonal skills, managing and aligning stakeholders, regional counterparts, and the ability to market the services provided internally and to work effectively in a procurement team within category, also guiding junior Reg. MGMs;

Education to a degree level in business or engineering, preferred;

Profound English skills orally and in writing (C level).
