Regional QHSE Manager
- Lead and drive compliance with all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policies, programs, and initiatives to enhance process and service quality across the region.
- Evaluate existing regional processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as the regional subject matter expert and liaison for the company's Quality Management System as well as external standards (e.g., ISO, Good Distribution Practices).
- Support and monitor regional quality and safety improvement projects, ensuring timely progress and successful outcomes.
- Provide leadership and expertise in quality management, ISO standards, and certification processes.
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Risk & Safety and the QHSE Director to develop tools, methodologies, and systems that strengthen quality and safety performance.
- Define and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistent adherence across all locations.
- Act as the regional expert for the company's safety program and local regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Promote and actively support the functioning and effectiveness of regional Safety Committees.
- Work with the Vice President of Risk & Safety and the QHSE Director to establish local safety training, equipment maintenance programs, and forklift training.
- Assist regional operations in maintaining accurate and complete training documentation for all QHSE programs.
- Aid in the development and maintenance of site emergency response plans.
- Drive the implementation and support of Business Continuity Plans within the region.
- Ensure compliance with hazardous materials and dangerous goods policies and procedures.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Quality Management, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or transportation is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience is also necessary.
- Proficiency in quality improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and root cause analysis.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent time management and organisational abilities.
- Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment, with a proven ability to achieve results through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Deep understanding of project and program management methodologies and tools.
- Strategic thinker capable of planning 12 to 24 months ahead, with strong client orientation and interpersonal skills.
