Regional Sales Manager
Position Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager, Cross Business Unit (Cross BU), is responsible for leading sales growth, customer expansion, and market development across India. This role leads a team of Sales Area Managers (SAMs) and Field Application Engineers (FAEs) focused on growing revenue, expanding customer relationships, and increasing the organization's presence across a broad customer base.
In addition to territory leadership, this position serves as the Distributor Channel Manager for key strategic partners, providing direction, planning, and support to strengthen channel performance and contribution to the India business. This role requires a collaborative leader who can inspire teams, build trusted customer relationships, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver sustainable business growth in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of Sales Area Managers and Field Application Engineers across India.
- Own and deliver revenue growth, business performance, and strategic sales objectives for the territory.
- Develop and execute territory and account plans aligned with organizational growth priorities.
- Drive strategic territory scaling initiatives focused on achieving high-growth business outcomes.
- Expand customer relationships and identify opportunities for new customer acquisition across priority industries.
- Strengthen engagement with startup ecosystems and emerging market segments.
- Manage strategic distributor relationships and drive channel partner performance, growth, and alignment.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new channel partners to support market expansion.
- Balance direct customer engagement with scalable channel-led growth strategies.
- Collaborate closely with technical, marketing, business unit, and support teams to execute go-to-market initiatives.
- Provide accurate forecasts, pipeline management, and business insights through effective use of sales tools and analytics.
- Represent India business interests in regional and global forums while advocating for customer and market needs.
- Drive cross-functional alignment to support strategic opportunities and customer success.
- Effectively manage channel relationships and proactively address areas of potential conflict within the partner ecosystem.
- Coach, develop, and enable team members to maximize performance, engagement, and career growth.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Demonstrated success in sales leadership, business management, or territory management within industrial, technology, test and measurement, automation, or related industries.
- 10+ years of Experience leading customer-facing teams and driving revenue growth through direct and channel sales models.
- Strong understanding of the India market landscape and customer buying processes.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans that deliver measurable results.
- Experience managing distributor or channel partner relationships.
- Strong customer engagement, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and translate insights into action.
- Experience using customer relationship management and sales management tools.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Willingness to travel as required to support customers, partners, and team members across India.

- Experience leading geographically distributed sales and technical teams.
- Knowledge of test and measurement solutions, automated testing, industrial technology, electronics, semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, energy, or adjacent markets.
- Experience working with both direct sales and channel-led go-to-market models.
- Proven success scaling business operations within high-growth environments.
- Experience utilizing business intelligence and analytics tools to support forecasting and strategic decision-making.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
