Gasmet is actively recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) position for the Americas. This RSM will work closely with customers, sales partners, and Nederman sales teams, to develop opportunities for Gasmet products and solutions. The Gasmet Americas team consists of Sales, Service, Technical Support, Administrative Functions, and the Americas Director of Sales & Service, to whom this position will report
This is a remote position in the USA with travel requirements for business and account development. The RSM works closely with customers on a consultative sales basis to specify analytical measurement products and solutions for Industrial Process Control, Emissions, Industrial Hygiene, Hazmat, Military, Environmental Research, and related

Core Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the territory sales plan to align with the Gasmet Americas plan. Achieve annual sales targets through direct and sales channel partner sales
Develop product and application expertise to support customers with preference and specification of Gasmet products and solutions with analytical measurement needs; for safety, environmental compliance, process control, or other critical measurement needs
Proven expertise in sales partner development, with product and application training, customer presentations and demos, market and account development strategy development, and a regular frequency of joint customer visits
Participate in industry events and conferences. Contribute with technical presentations and white papers on analytical technology and applications
Fulfill administrative responsibilities related to CRM utilization, proposals, forecasts, team and management meetings, expense reporting, etc.
Other duties required to contribute to the company’s strategic goals and objectives

Required Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Sciences, or related

Experience:

10+ years in a remote sales position, proven sales growth with analytical instrumentation products for process, compliance, research, laboratory, or other industrial and/or research areas
Consultative sales experience with technical, long sales cycle products, in a collaborative team environment
Familiarity with complex and multi-layered customer organizations and selling products and solutions to stakeholders with different needs and expectations

Other Requirements:

Ability to travel in the USA, Canada, and occasionally Europe. Expected travel is 50% on an average annual basis
Home office with high-speed connectivity. Proximity to major airport (90 minutes)

Demonstrable sales results achieved through in-person and remote sales and support activities
Self-starter, self-motivated, high energy, positive minded, excels in single contributor and team contributor roles

An understanding of physics and chemistry concepts related to the analytical measurement of gases and gas measurement applications
Knowledge of financial sales concepts such as profit, margin, terms and conditions, expense management, project funding processes, rep commission, distributor discounts, competitive price positioning, etc.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, CRM, and related business software and applications

Collaboration and cultural awareness. This person will interact with internal and external global stakeholders with different cultural norms
Strategic mindset. Works to advance sales through a consultative sales process, through a long sales cycle, and with stakeholders with varying objectives and needs. Maintaining a disciplined approach to driving sales through each stage of the sales cycle will have a significant impact on this person’s success. You are also not alone!
Effective time management. The primary objective is revenue generation. That is a broad objective with contributing factors that can take this person in multiple directions. An ability to evaluate the cost/benefit of multiple priorities and focus on activities that have the highest impact on revenue are important for success
