This is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune, India. Standard working days are Monday through Friday, though evening and weekend work may be necessary as job duties demand.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Regional Security Manager is the senior Global Security advisor for all client locations in India. The embedded position reports directly to the Head of Global Security as part of the Global Security function, not through the Asia regional organization, and is expected to operate with a high degree of independence. The position advises on and coordinates the application of the Global Security risk-driven strategy across India. It identifies and assesses vulnerabilities, reviews site compliance with corporate security policies and standards, and recommends and tracks mitigation plans. The role serves as a trusted advisor and works closely with the other Regional Security Managers and the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) to analyze intelligence and geopolitical developments that could affect client operations in India and globally. This is an advisory, review, coordination and reporting role. It is primarily office-based with regular travel to sites in India. The position does not perform guarding, close protection, armed duties, or the supervision of security personnel. The Regional Security Manager works under the direction of the Head of Global Security and in close coordination with other stakeholders and the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). The position is expected to understand the company's risk-driven security strategy and translate regional and global direction into practical execution at the site level.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary Global Security advisor and point of contact for security matters across client locations in India, reporting directly to the Head of Global Security.
- Recommend India security procedures aligned with Global Security policies by assessing business operations and advising on appropriate security controls.
- Analyze security assessments and other security data to identify vulnerabilities affecting personnel, facilities, operations and assets, and recommend mitigation plans.
- Proactively forecast security gaps that could expose the client in India, and track mitigation plans and corrective actions through to closure.
- Work with the other Regional Security Managers and the GSOC to analyze intelligence and geopolitical developments that could affect the client in India and globally.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local, state and national law enforcement, government authorities, industry security organizations and intelligence-sharing groups (e.g., OSAC chapters and regional security forums).
- Coordinate matters with plant management, Human Resources, Legal, EHS, IT, Supply Chain, Facilities and other internal stakeholders.
- Lead assigned global security subject areas based on experience and competency, as directed by the Head of Global Security.

- Review security design features, installations, and system upgrade projects for compliance with applicable standards, in coordination with Facilities, IT, and approved vendors.
- Conduct site visits, security reviews and audits, and follow up to confirm that identified vulnerabilities and corrective actions have been addressed.
- Advise on security aspects of visitor management processes to ensure alignment with client standards.
- Post orders, rosters, deployment, training and supervision of security personnel remain the responsibility of the licensed provider. The Employee reviews these against contract requirements but does not issue, approve or amend them.
Investigations
- Support India investigations under the direction of the Head of Global Security and the Global Security Investigations Manager, including fact-finding, interviews and documentation review, only as assigned or authorized.
- Support investigations involving theft, workplace violence, threats, security breaches, loss of company assets and other security-related incidents.
- Coordinate with Human Resources, Legal and Compliance on involuntary terminations, threats, behavioral concerns, background screening and safety and security issues.
- Liaise with local law enforcement when required.
- Ensure investigative information is documented, handled in line with applicable data protection requirements, and escalated appropriately.
Travel Security & Intelligence
- Assess threat levels (low, medium, high, extreme) for India using GSOC intelligence, and develop risk mitigation plans where required.
- With the GSOC, advise travelers to and within India, and coordinate with other Regional Security Managers when itineraries cross regions.
