We are currently looking to hire a Temporary Regional Security Manager to join our team embedded with our client in Singapore! This position allows for a hybrid schedule from our client's Headquarters in Singapore.
*This is a full-time, 6-month fixed-term position. Based on client operational needs and performance success, there is potential for this role to extend beyond the initial term or transition to a permanent position.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Singapore-based Regional Security Manager will be responsible for leading physical security across Asia-Pacific as the company expands its offices, critical facilities, employee population, and travel footprint in higher-risk and complex operating environments. Based in Singapore, you will own the APAC physical-security domain within the Client’s global strategy, define regional priorities, make risk-based decisions, and drive measurable outcomes across sites, vendors, GSOC operations, and cross-functional partners. This is an individual-contributor role that requires regular international travel, including occasional short-notice travel. Direct people management is not required; influence, coaching, and capability-building are essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and prioritize the APAC physical-security operating plan, risk register, remediation roadmap, and escalation model; own sequencing and cross-functional dependency decisions.
- Translate global standards into consistent, locally executable controls across offices, shared workplaces, data centers, restricted areas, and other critical facilities.
- Serve as the regional escalation point and incident Commander for significant security, safety, and business-disruption events, partnering with GSOC, Workplace, vendors, emergency services, and business leaders.
- Drive security requirements for new offices, relocations, retrofits, technology deployments, and material control exceptions, including residual-risk recommendations and closure criteria.
- Strengthen Singapore and Dublin GSOC handoffs, failover readiness, incident documentation, exercises, and continuous improvement.
- Govern contracted security providers through SLAs, KPEs, QBRs, staffing resilience, corrective actions, procurement support, and risk-based budget decisions.
- Partner with Protective Intelligence, Security Systems and Deployments, Data Center Security Operations, Technology, Legal, Privacy, HR, Communications, Business Resilience, Finance, Procurement, and regional leaders.
- Define meaningful operating metrics and drive root-cause improvements in readiness, control effectiveness, response quality, auditability, vendor performance, and recurring-issue reduction.
- Use automation and AI responsibility where they improve speed, scale, or quality, with appropriate privacy, security, regulatory, model-risk, verification, and human-in-the-loop safeguards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of experience in physical security, risk, resilience, or related operations within a multinational organization, including substantial regional experience across APAC.
- Experience leading multi-country physical-security operations across offices, critical facilities, vendors, or varied operating environments.
- Strong practical knowledge of access control, CCTV, alarms, visitor management, guard-force operations, incident response, critical facilities, and emergency planning.
- Experience serving as an incident leader or Incident Commander during complex, cross-functional, or high-consequence events.
- Demonstrated ability to identify material and systemic risks and convert them into measurable remediation plans and sustained operating improvements.
- Experience managing security providers through SLAs, KPIs, QBRs, staffing resilience, performance improvement, and contract renewals.
- Experience delivering security requirements for new offices, relocations, retrofits, critical facilities, or security-system deployments.
- Ability to adapt global standards to local legal, building, threat, cultural, and emergency-response conditions without weakening control objectives.
- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder influence, prioritization, and decision-making skills, including the ability to act with incomplete information.
- Uses AI responsibly, maintains human ownership of consequential decisions, and protects confidential and personal information.
- Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship.
- This position may require international travel
