Resident Engineer – Singrauli
About the Role
We are looking for a technically skilled and customer-oriented Resident Engineer to manage our local service operations in Singrauli. The role will involve providing industrial electrical and automation service support, visiting customer sites, identifying new service opportunities, and independently managing the local service office.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, controls & instrumentation, along with basic customer relationship and sales skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Service & Customer Support
Provide on-site service support to industrial customers in and around Singrauli.
Attend breakdowns, troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, and service requirements.
Diagnose electrical and automation-related problems and provide practical solutions.
Visit existing and prospective customers to understand their technical requirements.
Identify opportunities for new service, repair, AMC, retrofit, and automation projects.
Prepare basic service reports, technical observations, and customer feedback.
2. Resident Engineer Responsibilities
Act as the local technical representative of the company in Singrauli.
Manage day-to-day operations of the local service office.
Coordinate customer visits, service calls, manpower, tools, and materials.
Maintain proper records of service activities, customer requirements, quotations, and pending jobs.
Coordinate with the central technical and management teams for project execution and support.
Ensure timely response to customer service requirements.
3. Electrical & Automation Service
Troubleshooting of industrial electrical control panels and machines.
Electrical wiring, panel wiring, and control circuit troubleshooting.
PLC programming, troubleshooting, I/O checking, and basic modifications.
VFD programming, parameter setting, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Support for substation automation systems and related control systems.
Troubleshooting of control & instrumentation systems.
Support commissioning and testing activities at customer sites.
Assist in electrical and automation retrofit projects.
4. Business Development Support
Develop and maintain relationships with local industrial customers.
Generate leads for service, repair, maintenance, automation, and retrofit requirements.
Understand customer problems and convert technical requirements into service opportunities.
Support the sales team with technical inputs, site visits, and requirement identification.
Follow up with customers for quotations, service orders, and repeat business.

Eligibility
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline
1–3 years of relevant industrial experience
Experience in industrial automation, electrical service, maintenance, or commissioning preferred.
Candidates who are comfortable working independently in the Singrauli industrial region will be preferred.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Electrical/Automation Engineer who can independently visit industrial sites, troubleshoot PLC/VFD/electrical problems, communicate confidently with maintenance teams, and gradually develop the Singrauli territory from both a technical service and business development perspective.
This is not a desk-only engineering role - the candidate will be expected to be actively present in the field, solve customer problems, and build the local service business.
