Regional Tax Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Regional Corporate Tax Compliance

  • Serve as the primary tax contact and manage full corporate tax compliance
  • Review corporate tax filings for the legal entities, including CIT, GST / VAT, withholding tax, etc.
  • Implement tax risk assessments and health checks for Regional operations which includes Singapore, rest of Southeast Asia, Oceania and India
  • Window contact to tax agents and consultants serving the legal entities in the Region

Regional Transfer Pricing Compliance

  • Monitor all Regional transfer pricing (TP) compliance, review of local files and other TP-related filings
  • Review and monitor the inventory of intercompany agreements concerning the Region
  • Monitor the implementation of group TP policies by the legal entities in the Region
  • Scrutinize the profitability of the legal entities in the Region, propose adjustments where necessary

Regional Tax Dispute Resolution

  • Window contact towards IRAS to address queries, handle tax assessments, and TP assessments
  • Guide and collaborate with local accounting teams, and tax consultants, when necessary, in the rest of the Region in case of tax queries and tax assessments

Regional Tax Business Partnering

  • Provide tax advisory and analysis for Regional businesses
  • Support business development, M&A, corporate restructuring, and cross-border projects with Regional tax due diligence, structuring advice, and implementation support.
  • Track, interpret, and communicate Regional tax policies, regulations, and updates thereof to business and finance leadership, assessing operational and financial impacts
  • Identifying and implementing tax related incentives

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of professional tax experience in Singapore
  • Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of Singapore tax regulations, TP guidelines, tax treaties, and BEPS 2.0 requirements.
  • Experience in interacting with IRAS, managing audits, and resolving tax disputes.
  • Knowledge and experience in territories in the Region other than Singapore is a strong plus.
  • CPA, or any equivalent professional certification, is a strong plus.

This role will be located in Singapore, working on-site at our office located at Expo (DT35/CG1) fully sheltered from the MRT.
