What You'll Do

As a Dietitian, you will provide comprehensive nutritional care and support to patients across a variety of clinical settings. Responsibilities include:

• Assess patients' nutritional status and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
• Coordinate, implement, and evaluate nutrition interventions to support positive patient outcomes.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families.
• Recommend and approve nutritional supplements based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient care.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of nutrition formulary standards appropriate for the patient population.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards.

Responsibilities

Provides appropriate patient nutritional care. Assesses the nutritional status of patients, formulates a care plan, coordinates its implementation, and evaluates its impact and effectiveness. Provides nutrition education to patients/families. Approves supplements as appropriate and assists in the development of a hospital formulary appropriate to the patient population.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• Registered Dietitian Required (CMS requirement).
• One year healthcare experience desirable.

Desert Valley Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $33.60 to $55.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
