Ginger Cove, a premier CARF-accredited life-care retirement community located on a beautiful waterfront campus in Annapolis, is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Registered Dietitian to join our Culinary Services team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dietitian who enjoys building lasting relationships with residents, working alongside an interdisciplinary healthcare team, and helping older adults achieve their best possible quality of life.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-Time (16-24 hours per week)
- Flexible schedule
- $38.00-$44.00 per hour, based on experience

What You'll Do:
As our Registered Dietitian, you'll play an essential role in promoting resident health and wellness through individualized nutrition care, education, and collaboration with our clinical and culinary teams.
Clinical Nutrition
- Complete comprehensive nutrition assessments and participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
- Review and ensure appropriate therapeutic diet orders.
- Monitor residents' nutritional status and recommend interventions as needed.
- Document nutrition assessments and interventions within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Resident Care & Education
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents and their families.
- Meet with residents during meal service to evaluate satisfaction and nutritional needs.
- Assist new residents with successful dining transitions.
- Support hydration and nutrition initiatives throughout the community.
Collaboration & Quality
- Partner with nursing, physicians, speech therapy, and culinary leadership to optimize resident outcomes.
- Assist with seasonal menu development and nutritional analysis.
- Support infection prevention, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Conduct nutrition-related staff education and in-service training.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and organizational standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
