The Role:

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and values-led Registered Manager to join 1-Experience Group and help us build something special.

As Registered Manager you will have the opportunity to shape the service from the beginning, develop a fantastic team and create a culture where children, young people and their families experience genuine care, compassion and support specific to their needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and day to day management of our new children and young people’s domiciliary care service.

  • Build, inspire and support a skilled, compassionate and values led team, where people are supported to develop and deliver their best.

  • Ensure every child and young person receives safe, individualised care that recognises their strengths, wishes and potential.

  • Put the voice of children, young people and their families at the heart of care planning and service delivery.

  • Build trusted relationships with families, health and social care professionals and commissioning partners.

  • Lead on safeguarding, ensuring the safety, rights and wellbeing of children and young people always comes first.

  • Ensure robust systems are in place for care planning and review, risk assessment, medication management, incident reporting and complaints management.

  • Ensure the service is delivered in accordance with its Statement of Purpose, keeping this under review as the service grows and develops.

  • Ensure the service operates in accordance with relevant legislation, RQIA Domiciliary Care Agencies Minimum Standards, regulatory requirements and best practice guidance.

  • Facilitate management support outside normal working hours as required.


Essential Criteria

  • Level 5 Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care qualification (or working towards same)

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, including 2 years in operational management capacity.

  • Excellent working knowledge of relevant legislation, RQIA Domiciliary Care Agencies Minimum Standards, regulatory requirements and best practice guidance.

  • A full, clean driving license and access to a vehicle for business use.

  • Willingness to support with the provision of out of hours management support.

  • You will also bring relevant experience of working with children and young people, strong safeguarding knowledge, experience leading a care team and most importantly a genuine passion for delivering outstanding care and improving the lives of children, young people and their families.


Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience as Registered Manager in developing and mobilising a children and young people’s care service would be advantageous.
