Priory Hospital Ticehurst has an opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to join our team on our Acute ward.

Priory Hospital Ticehurst House is a specialist Acute service line.. Conveniently located in Wadhurst, Priory Hospital Ticehurst House benefits from a peaceful rural setting with access to nearby towns and easy access to major roads/motorways. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across a range of disciplines, you will promote the best interests of patients and their families, implement evidence-based care plans, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. You will use your professional knowledge, clinical expertise and sound judgement to deliver outstanding care while working within the NMC Code and your scope of professional practice.

This role operates on a rotational two week shift pattern, including:
  • Day shifts: 7:30am – 8:00pm
  • Night shifts: 7:30pm – 8:00am
All shifts include a 1 hour 45 minute unpaid break.

Essential for the role
  • Hold current professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) along with Mental Health.
  • Knowledge of NMC guidelines, requests and professional practices.
  • Evidence of post registration continuing professional development.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality.
