Provides nursing care to mentally ill consumers based on a systematized body of knowledge. Oversees care provided by LPN and Behavioral Health Techs. Utilizes nursing processes including identification of nursing problems, planning, execution, evaluations and notification of nursing interventions as determined by consumer outcomes. Valid Florida RN license. At least one year working on an inpatient pediatric psychiatric unit. Good interpersonal skills, assessment skills, knowledge of community resources, ability to work with and motivate others. Ability to make logical decisions based on sound reasoning and understanding of consequences. Ability to assess and record observations and complete professional and business correspondence. Ability to read, analyze and interpret clinical record information, departmental procedures and government regulations. Ability to effectively present information clearly and concisely in verbal and written form.
