The Surgery Registered Nurse – Circulate position is a full-time role working 80 hours per pay period. Standard working hours are 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with flexibility in start times and on-call responsibilities for weekends and holidays based on departmental needs. This position provides professional nursing care to surgical patients and performs circulating duties throughout surgical procedures. The RN is responsible for maintaining patient safety, following established standards of care, and providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio.
• Previous hospital operating room experience is required.
• Knowledge of standards of care for surgical patients.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of the surgical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Perform circulating duties in accordance with established standards of care and department policies.
• Promote patient safety and support a safe surgical environment.
• Collaborate with surgeons and other members of the surgical team to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service when interacting with patients, families, and coworkers.
• Participate in the required on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays.
