- Coordinate patient care from referral through procedure and follow-up.
- Coordinate complex clinic, testing, and procedure schedules.
- Work with the echocardiography team to ensure specialized imaging and TEE measurements are completed and available.
- Assist with urgent scheduling changes and time-sensitive procedural needs.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required:
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Additional Preferences:
- 5+ years cardiovascular surgery experience
- Chest/Lung/Vascular experience
- Cardiac surgical scheduling experience
- Post-operative wound care experience
- Cardiovascular surgery pre-operative evaluation experience
- Experience with patient coordination between different departments for post-op patients
