- Schedule: Day l Full-time
- Clinical Shift Leadership & Resource Management: Direct shift operations and allocate medical supplies and unit resources, exercising independent clinical judgment to adapt care priorities to evolving patient acuity and physician dynamics.
- Acuity-Based Staffing & Productivity Accountability: Assess comprehensive patient care needs to create balanced, population-appropriate nurse-patient assignments while tracking shift productivity metrics and justifying variances to leadership.
- Staff Development & Performance Oversight: Supervise, educate, and mentor nursing staff and support personnel during shifts, providing direct evaluative input for hiring, onboarding, competency sign-offs, and performance reviews.
- Conflict Resolution & Service Recovery: Act as primary escalation lead for patient, family, and interdisciplinary care complaints, resolving issues promptly through established organizational channels to safeguard quality of care and patient satisfaction.
- Strategic Shift Planning & Care Coordination: Lead daily shift planning and team huddles to establish operational priorities, streamline clinical workflows, and ensure high-standard medical-surgical care delivery.
Licensure / Certification / Registration
- Required Credential(s):
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education
- Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
Work Experience:
- Lead or Charge experience required
