Registered Nurse Critical Care

• Location: Nashville, TN
• Facility: Saint Thomas West
• Department: Critical Care Unit
• Schedule: Full-time | Day Shift

• Assess patients’ physical and emotional needs and deliver timely interventions that support recovery and positive health outcomes.
• Develop and manage individualized care plans, closely tracking patient progress and adjusting care as conditions change.
• Coordinate care across physicians and the broader care team to ensure patients receive seamless, well-organized treatment.
• Communicate patient updates and carry out treatment plans to keep care accurate, timely, and aligned with provider guidance.
• Prepare patients and families for discharge, providing education and coordinating next steps to support a safe transition home or to the next level of care.

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Compact State Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following:
    • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Instructor specializing in Advanced Cardio Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
