- Perform both scrub functions and handling of instruments and supplies used during complex cardiovascular surgical procedures.
- Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
- Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient during cardiovascular procedures.
- Assist operating physicians and anesthesia with accessing and maintaining lines and intubation during cardiovascular procedures.
- Prepare cardiovascular operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Additional Preferences:
- Circulating experience required
- CTOR experience preferred
