Registered Nurse OB Emergency Department

• Location: Nashville, TN

• Schedule: Full-Time | Days

• Assesses and performs obstetrical evaluations and testing on pregnant patients for pregnancy and non-pregnancy related complaints.
• Responsible for triaging complaints and communicating findings to the advanced practice provider or provider for further evaluation or treatment.
• Facilitates complete workup and provides throughput to home or admission to Labor and Delivery for treatment and delivery.
• Provides discharge education to patients specific to pregnancy related concerns and plans additional treatment(s) for patients.

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program credentialed from the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
